Accessibility

Access belongs in the design.

Techno Guru aims to make its technology and applied-science publishing usable by as many people as practical, across different devices, reading preferences, and ways of navigating the web.

Our target

WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as an engineering and editorial baseline. For long-form reading, we go further where it produces a materially better experience.

This is a target, not a blanket conformance claim. Techno Guru has not yet undergone an independent accessibility audit.

01

Perceivable

Readable contrast, useful text alternatives, captions, and content that adapts when text is enlarged.

02

Operable

Keyboard access, visible focus, generous targets, reduced motion, and no interaction traps.

03

Understandable

Clear headings, meaningful links, predictable navigation, and technical language explained in context.

04

Robust

Semantic HTML and complete article content that does not depend on client-side scripting.

What should work

Reading and navigation.

  • Navigate the publication and article controls using a keyboard.
  • Skip repeated navigation and move directly to the main content.
  • Enlarge browser text to 200% and zoom or reflow to a 320 CSS-pixel viewport.
  • Choose a larger article text size without making the publication default smaller.
  • Read the complete article when client-side JavaScript is unavailable.
  • Use headings, landmarks, image descriptions, captions, tables, and code with their intended structure preserved.

How we test

Checks in every release.

  • Automated WCAG 2.2 A and AA checks across representative page templates.
  • Keyboard traversal, focus visibility, text enlargement, narrow reflow, and horizontal-overflow tests.
  • Responsive checks for desktop, mobile, and a 320 CSS-pixel viewport.
  • Manual review when the shared layout, navigation, article structure, media, or interactive controls change.

Automated tests cannot establish complete accessibility. Representative assistive-technology testing and feedback from disabled readers remain part of the review process.

Known limitations

What we are still checking.

  • No independent, whole-site WCAG conformance assessment has yet been completed.
  • Third-party embeds or linked services may not meet the same standard as pages published directly by Techno Guru.
  • Older or unusual assistive-technology combinations may expose problems that our current test coverage does not detect.

Where a barrier cannot be corrected immediately, we will try to provide the same information in a practical alternative format.

Feedback and alternatives

Found something that blocks your reading?

Tell us which page you were using, what went wrong, and—if you are comfortable doing so—the browser or assistive technology involved. You can also request the information in another accessible format.
